Creating joy,
the Texas way.
The goal of Children’s Cancer Association is simple: to help every child access their joy during their health journey—one song, one connection, one smile at a time.
Anchored in the vibrant musical city of Austin, our free-of-charge JoyRx programs help bring critical support services to seriously ill children in Texas.
We prescribe joy.
We prescribe joy.
Why joy?
We know that moments of joy and connection
can transform the pediatric healthcare experience.
Every moment is precious for seriously ill children and their families. Our pediatric support services are designed with expertise from lived experiences, as well as leading healthcare partners, with measurable outcomes for kids.
We are proud to offer free-of-charge programs at ten pediatric locations
across Texas — reaching nearly 60k Texas children since
2018—inviting them to sing, laugh, and play out loud — in order to find joy
and connection during life’s most challenging moments.
Offered at no cost, our programs prioritize the
emotional well-being of hospitalized kids. Because we believe that every
kid deserves to feel like a kid, no matter their health journey.
