Sapphire loves pink and purple and is always ready to dress-up like a princess. She idolizes older brother, Jayden, and wants him to be her prince at playtime. This spunky, determined little girl is the “sparkplug” in the family. At home she lets her imagination run wild.  One minute she’s a Disney heroine, the next she’s a doctor who makes everyone feel better.

With a flair for creativity, Sapphire is a playful and silly three-year-old who gives her stuffed animals special names like “Silverlicious,” “Butterscotch Pudding,” and “Smokey.” When she’s not dancing to pop or hip-hop, she’s dressing her Chihuahua, Dodger, in sweaters or teaching him to sit.

Less than one year ago, Sapphire was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Already she’s endured extensive chemotherapy, steroid treatments, and long hospital stays. Her true spirit was tested even further when her mom was simultaneously diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer. All who meet her are amazed by the courage of this beautiful little girl.
