Brand/Marketing Internship

Position Title: Brand Marketing Intern
Supervisor:  Brand Designer
Commitment: September – January
Hours: 4-6 hours a week
Salary:   Unpaid Intern Position

Position Summary
Basic Function: Perform all necessary functions as an intern including, but not limited to:

  • Support the Brand Marketing Team in the following responsibilities: website maintenance, electronic communications, graphic design, material preparation, and event marketing
  • Assist on special projects as they arise while promoting the mission and interests of Children’s Cancer Association.

Essential Function: Provide administrative, project, marketing, public relations, and event support as needed. Duties may include data entry, filing, graphic design, copy editing, special projects, and other duties as assigned by the Brand Designer.

Qualifications: High school graduate. Must have studied marketing, communications, or related studies in college, or have relevant experience. Priority to graduates or degree-seeking students. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint, with working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

Must have strong interpersonal, verbal, written, and word processing skills. Must be able to operate semi-independently and carry out a variety of organizational tasks with limited supervision. Must be organized, efficient, and work well with a variety of staff, volunteers, and clients in a casual yet professional work environment. Must be comfortable in an environment supporting seriously ill children and maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this position, an intern is required to stand, walk, sit, and lift. Occasionally, the intern is required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. The noise level in the workplace is moderate.
