Based in Portland, OR, the Children’s Cancer Association (CCA) seeks a visionary and collaborative President & General Manager (GM) who will lead our organization and advance our mission. CCA is the only organization working to position joy as best practice in pediatric hospitals across the nation through free-of-charge programs of music, friendship and nature.
The incoming President/GM will lead a financially healthy organization with a capable leadership team, dedicated staff, engaged Founder/CEO, and visionary Board of Directors. This role is a unique opportunity for a seasoned executive with operational, large multi-functional team leadership, and financial acumen to lead exponential growth, with potential to improve the quality of life for the 30 million US children and teens facing a serious or chronic illness. The President/GM’s time will be divided between internal management and external-facing partner management.
CCA’s President/GM will lead our organization and advance our mission in partnership with the CEO and Board of Directors. Our leader will have a for-profit background with non-profit values, have a track record of driving successful execution and derive satisfaction from bringing out the talents of others. The President/GM will demonstrate balanced leadership – understanding the importance of both people and the bottom line. Our leader will inspire a mission to change the national, and ultimately, the global, pediatric healthcare environment for children with cancer and seriously illness.
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 5+ years of senior management experience, including financial oversight of an organization with an annual budget of at least $10 million. Competitive benefit package and salary commensurate with experience: salary range is $175,000-$185,000. This is a full-time exempt position, that provides a bonus plan and generous benefits.
