At just 19 years old, August CCA Hero David has faced cancer with more composure and positivity than most. It’s the part of his personality which inspires his family and has kept them laughing through the tough times.

This month we celebrate the first of our 2019 CCA Heroes, Shaun. Shaun and his family visited the CCA office to take part in his official CCA Hero photoshoot just weeks before he died. We are deeply saddened by his death, but grateful to have known him and all the joy he brought to the world.
Shared memories and experiences can make a world of difference for a child in treatment, a lesson Chemo Pal Mentor Kimberlee knows firsthand. Kimberlee has gone above and beyond for her Chemo Pal mentee. Kimberlee and Olivia currently hold the record for longest-running Chemo Pal Match at seven years!
