Celebrating Six Years at SXSW

MMRx-SXSW

MyMusicRx once again invited Austinites to “feel the music and feel better” during the world-renowned SXSW Festival. They responded with a resounding “yes!” turning out for live music events that helped us raise nearly $10,000 to fuel the upcoming launch of MyMusicRx bedside service at St. David’s Children’s Hospital, filling a critical gap in arts and music program services for Central Texas kids and families.

Read on for a full recap of our festival week.

Texas Monthly SXSW Kick Off Party

Texas Monthly got the party started at the YETI flagship store where guests enjoyed live music, cocktails, and a premium raffle benefitting MyMusicRx. Lucky winners took home exclusive prizes from Hotel Saint Cecilia, SXSW, Crosley, Stumptown, Epiphone, YETI, and Sonos. Thank you Texas Monthly for including us!

MyMusicRX + YOU WHO! Rock Show for Kids

Our sixth annual MyMusicRx + YOU WHO! Rock Show for Kids at the FADER FORT did not disappoint. 400+ Austin kids and their grownups enjoyed breakfast tacos, giant owl mascots, an Art Guitar Craft Zone powered by Epiphone, free hair stylings from Birds Barbershop, and incredible live sets from Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Lucy Dacus, U.S. Girls, Kyle Craft, and Annalise Azadian. Check out all the performances here.

MyMusicRx Concert at Dell Children’s Medical Center

MyMusicRx once again brought some festival fun to the outdoor Healing Garden at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Kids, families, and medical staff enjoyed encore performances from Red Yarn and Annalise Azadian, plus local blues musician, David Messier, and SXSW showcase artist, Yoke Lore.

SXSW Artist SongRxs

Throughout the week we had the honor of filming SXSW Showcase Artists at the Austin Convention Center.
