Fun fact: Isa means rainbow in Chamorro, which is the indigenous language of Guam. It also perfectly describes this vibrant, colorful girl, whose beautiful spirit shines everywhere she goes.

Soria-Zuniga Family’s Ray of Sunshine [Part 1 of 3]

Over the last year, CCA has provided service to over 28,000 seriously ill children and their family members. Ruth Zuniga and Andy Soria, along with their little girl Sol, were one such family. Originally from Costa Rica, Andy and Ruth moved to the US to pursue their PhDs and had decided not to have children. However, their little “ray of sunshine,” Sol, had other plans.

At CCA, we understand the healing power of JOY found in a favorite song, a walk in a nature, or the embrace of a friend. Like you, we’ve either had cancer, or loved someone who did. When the Children’s Cancer Association (CCA) received Ayden’s request to see his favorite team in action, our Link Program partnered with the Austen Everett Foundation to grant a special week-long Seattle experience for Ayden and his family where they attended a Seahawks practice and preseason game.
