Joy for the Holidays (formerly known as Hope for the Holidays) was another resounding success for 2018’s season of giving. Lead by the Children’s Cancer Association’s (CCA) Link Program, and generously supported by Fortis Construction.
The holidays are a time for reflection, gratefulness, and family. While many families with kids facing serious illness focused on their child’s health, we at the Children’s Cancer Association turned our attention to their happiness.
Lucy makes frequent trips to the hospital for emergency visits, so the Oliver family was relieved to hear they had been matched with a sponsor for Hope for the Holidays. Suddenly, they could focus on family at a time when that was needed most.
Danielle’s family is just one of 62 families matched in 2017 with a holiday family sponsor, who provide gifts to each member of the household and a grocery store gift card for their holiday celebration. This is their holiday story.
This year’s annual Hope for the Holidays program was a huge success thanks to so many giving sponsors. The impact your involvement made was felt by each and every one of these deserving families.
