MyMusicRx Goes to Travelers’ Rest Festival 2018

It was our honor to attend the 2nd annual Travelers’ Rest Festival, hosted by The Decemberists.

Nestled between the wild mountains of Missoula, Montana, this festival boasted an incredible lineup of artists, many of whom rocked on stage for the fans and off stage for MyMusicRx’s online music festival Bedstock. Artists included Ben Gibbard from Death Cab for Cutie, Jeff Tweedy, Whitney, Ural Thomas & The Pain, I’m With Her, Tune-Yards, Tinariwen, Matt the Electrician, Lenore., Cardioid, Rotgut Whines, and Gaelynn Lea.

Filming for the Travelers’ Rest Bedstock was graciously hosted by Missoula Winery and Event Center. While the concept was the same for each artist, perform from bed in solidarity with sick kids stuck in theirs, many of them decided to get creative and make the performance their own.

Tune-Yards gave an energetic ukulele performance using the bed as a stage, moving from side to side, up and down, and all around! Ural Thomas & The Pain, a band of eight people, squeezed onto one bed and lovingly sang, “Smile”. And in a rare twist of fate, Gaelynn Lea and Matt the Electrician performed together, creating a beautiful duet of guitar and violin.

These performances and more will be shared on artist’s socials and the new MyMusicRx.org: delivering exclusive music performances for seriously ill children and teens, right to their hospital beds.

Our thanks to Travelers’ Rest Fest, The Decemberists, Missoula Winery and Event Center, Red Light Management, Knitting Factory, and all the amazing artists who made this possible. Keep an eye out for the release of these performances and while you wait, head to Bedstock.com to watch more than 240 artists including Ed Sheeran, Ringo Starr, Weird Al, and Nick Jonas.
