Vance Joy Ukuleles for Kids

Vance Joy, Kala, and MyMusicRx Bring ‘Ukuleles for Kids’ to Children’s Hospitals

To help us celebrate the launch of the all-new MyMusicRx.org, Australian singer-songwriter, Vance Joy, has teamed up with MyMusicRx and Kala Brand for the “Vance Joy Ukuleles for Kids” initiative. Children’s hospitals across the country are invited to sign up to receive up to five free-of-charge “Ukuleles for Kids” kits for patients to use during their hospital stays.

“I remember hearing an amazing story about George Harrison driving around in his car, handing out instruments to people,” said Vance Joy. “I’ve always wanted to emulate that idea and what better way than giving the gift of instruments and music lessons to young children who are fighting terminal diseases. My heart goes out to these kids and their families and I’m excited to reach them in this way, hopefully making their days just a little bit better.”

Each kit includes a Kala Brand ukulele (plastic and sanitizable), easy-to-follow chord charts, and links to MyMusicRx.org video tutorials where kids will learn directly from Vance how to play his hit songs “Riptide” and “Saturday Sun.” Quantities are limited and are available on a first-come-first-served basis so be sure to sign up now for this exciting initiative! These very special kits will ship to children’s hospitals that have signed up, in September, just in time for National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

We would also love the opportunity to walk any of your hospital staff through the MyMusicRx.org digital platform where seriously ill kids and teens are empowered to shift, plan, and grow – through music. Please consider signing up for a personalized site tour or contact us directly to schedule a conference call.

We want to thank children’s hospitals everywhere for the powerful work you do! We hope your kids, teens, and you! Enjoy exploring MyMusicRx.org.
