Valentine’s Day for CCA – In Photos
Our annual Valentine’s Day for CCA live, on-air fundraiser is almost here. Fueling nearly one third of our annual budget and engaging our most passionate community partners, this exciting event is one of our most important of the year. The community’s generous support allows us to provide free-of-charge program services to over 21,000 seriously ill kids and their families each year.
The 2016 Valentine’s Day for CCA raised a record-breaking $742,000 in an amazing show of support! Here are some of our favorite photos from last year’s event.
Volunteers joined us at the Fox 12 studios to answer calls. Phone bank volunteers always have a great time and cheer each other on.
The Keagbine family volunteers at this event every year in honor of their son, Danny, a CCA Hero who died in 2011.
Tiffany Palafox and Allison Clarke, President of Allison Clarke Consulting and CCA Ambassador Board Chair, kept the atmosphere fun while volunteers answered calls. As the donations came in they were there to celebrate.
Corey Mahaffey, Managing Partner at Northwestern Mutual, and CCA Ambassador Board member talked about CCA’s state of the art mobile music carts, part of the MyMusicRx program. This cart carries a number of different instruments and makes music easily accessible to kids in the hospital.
Toni Martinez received temporary tattoos of purple CCA hearts for each $100 donation made during that hour.
Toni Martinez, Kimberly Maus and Andy Carson posed for a photo after tattooing Toni’s head.
Dick Hannah Dealerships showed up for their phone bank shift with matching shirts and teddy bears.
FOX12’s Andy Carson interviewed Kent Van Arnam, Director of Marketing at Dick Hannah Dealerships. The dealership is a longtime partner of CCA’s and generously donates a brand new car to CCA’s “Win the Keys to Our Heart” Car Raffle.
Xavier Jackson, a 2016 CCA Hero, picked the winning raffle ticket for the “Win the Keys to Our Heart” car raffle. The winner chose from one of eight cars donated by Dick Hannah Dealerships. The raffle is back again this year. Enter for a chance to win.
Fox12 Studio Cameraman, Mike Heinrich, had a birthday during the event so, of course, we couldn’t let him go without a cake.
CCA’s executive team showed up in full force, pictured here with Fox12’s Wayne Garcia.
Wayne Garcia, from FOX 12, interviews MyMusicRx Supervisor, Chris Rubeo about his work with CCA kids at Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel and at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital.

Last hurrah! CCA staff, volunteers, on air talent lined up for one last picture.
Be sure to tune in to Valentine’s Day for CCA on FOX 12 Oregon and 105.1 The Buzz from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm on February 14. Look for contests, joy, and inspiring stories about CCA kids and families who are positively impacted by your donations.
