Joy is an undeniable need

for children everywhere.

That’s why our goal and focus is to create equitable access to our no-cost programming for all children, regardless of diagnosis, ability, language, location, age, socioeconomic status, or ethnicity.

Creating Joy.

Creating Joy.

A child sits in a chair, playing a drum.

Each year, our free JoyRx Music®, JoyRx Mentorship®, and JoyRx Nature® programs are shared with approximately 40,000 seriously ill children, teens — and their families — across the nation.

Our trauma-informed programs are based on research and best practices, aligned with Child Life Specialist goals, and are informed by family feedback. We work closely with care teams to provide engaging enrichment activities that help transform the pediatric experience.

Simply put: joy makes sick kids feel better.

JoyRx Music®

Sharing Songs at Over 40 Hospitals

Our signature program harnesses the universal power of music to create moments of joy, belonging, and connection. Our highly-trained JoyRx Music Specialists tailor their engagement and interactions based on the child’s mood, energy level, abilities, and interests. They meet the child where they are in that moment and give them the agency to choose if, when, and how to participate.
