If you’re older than 70.5, you can make a qualified charitable distribution from your retirement account. Please ask your financial institution to make the check to “JoyRx | Children’s Cancer Association.” Identify yourself as the donor by name and address.

Give appreciated stock:
Donate shares of appreciated stock directly to JoyRx and receive a double tax benefit by avoiding capital gains on the profit you’ve earned and receiving a tax deduction for the fair market value of your gift.
Give depreciated stock:
Sell shares of depreciated stock and then give the cash proceeds to JoyRx and take both the loss deduction and the charitable deduction.
