Five Years of Bedstock

This #GivingTuesday, MyMusicRx presented its fifth Bedstock, the annual online music festival where artists perform from bed as a show of solidarity with seriously ill kids and teens spending the holidays from hospital beds. The festival raised nearly $35,000 for MyMusicRx, Children’s Cancer Association’s flagship program, which delivers the healing power of music to seriously ill kids and teens.

This year’s lineup featured Death Cab for Cutie, Weird Al, Elle King, Walk the Moon, Phillip Phillips, Jeff Tweedy, Bishop Briggs, Tune-Yards, and TV on the Radio among more than 90 cross-genre artists.

Bedstock.com also featured MyMusicRx kids performing from their beds at our partner hospitals, Doernbecher Children’s Hospital and Randall Children’s Hospital. This year, a record-breaking 31 kid performances filled the Kids’ Stage.

Since its inception, Bedstock has raised more than $220,000 and featured almost 400 artists and 80 MyMusicRx kids.

And the winner is…

New for this year was a Donate-to-Win sweepstakes. From Giving Tuesday through December 4, fans could enter to win one-of-a-kind prizes, which included: a signed Epiphone guitar, the actual Pendleton blanket from our Bedstock set, passes to SXSW, Stagecoach, and Austin City Limits Music.

The prizes were announced during the first-ever Bedstock live stream event hosted by Chris Funk of The Decemberists and CCA kids and families on December 11. Congratulations to our five winners!
