In the past 7 years I have had the honor of being a Chemo Pal Mentor to 4 wonderful children, as they battled cancer. My most recent match, with Isair, graduated last October. Isair and I shared many moments of joy playing Mario Cart, Iron Man and just being silly during his treatments for Leukemia. We celebrated our graduation with donuts, and a family breakfast at Elmer’s. I look forward to visits with Isair and his family when they come back to town for his check-ups.
