CCA’s 19th Annual Wonderbal brought the delights of Parisian life to the Oregon Convention Center raising $1.26 million which will directly support the healing power of music, friendship, and nature to children and their families facing serious illness.
The Caring Cabin
The Alexandra Ellis Caring Cabin™ provides children and teens that are in treatment, along with their families, with an extraordinary place to retreat, relax, and create once-in-a-lifetime memories outside of the hospital environment.
CCA’s Caring Cabin was built in 2006 with the love and dedication of friends, foundations, and businesses that donated nearly one million dollars in cash, goods and services, and even the land itself.
Over 4,000 family members have visited since we first opened the Caring Cabin’s doors. This free adventure helps restore the energy and hope kids need to battle their illness over the long haul.
“We loved roasting S’mores on the fire pit–just being together without any distractions, enjoying freshly roasted marshmallows and being outside in a peaceful and beautiful setting, and seeing the happiness in everyone’s face.”
