On Monday, April 24, 2023, JoyRx hosted its inaugural Golf for Joy Austin, presented by NFP. This premier two-day event included a reception and dinner, guest Q&A with PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions professional, Jim Furyk, and a PRO-AM golf experience at the beautiful Omni Barton Creek Resort & Country Club.
After over a decade of hosting a tournament in Portland, this is the first year Austin has seen its own PRO-AM tournament. The Austin community banded together to raise over $185,000 in vital funding for JoyRx.
Monday marked the dinner reception and program for JoyRx. Guests enjoyed dinner and entertainment. The entertainment included a speech from JoyRx CEO, Danielle York, a thrilling live auction, and a powerful story from Priscilla Islas-McGaughy about her daughter, Kamari, and their family’s experience with JoyRx Music. The night concluded with an exhilarating Q&A session with PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions professional, Jim Furyk.
Tuesday dawned cloudy but warm for the tournament: Amateurs and professionals enjoyed the stunning course at Omni Creek, competing for awards.
