This Is Why We Bedstock

This #GivingTuesday MyMusicRx proudly presented Bedstock, an online music festival where artists perform from bed in solidarity with sick kids spending the holidays in hospital beds. In just 7 short days, the festival has raised $45,000 and counting, including an incredibly generous $10,000 match from our brand partners, Converse.

In all, an amazing 52 Artists, 10 Kids, and 7 Writers participated this year, with headliners Norah Jones, Moby, Jack Johnson, Tegan and Sarah, Panic! At the Disco, and many more. Performances from MyMusicRx kids were filmed at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, Randall Children’s Hospital, and Ronald McDonald House, and award-winning writers like Carson Ellis and Craig Thompson even read their favorite children’s books from bed.

We’re excited to share that we achieved a tremendous 70.8M social media impressions for #Bedstock, more than DOUBLE our 2015 reach, along with 4M views and counting of natively uploaded Bedstock performances on Facebook and Instagram. Jack Johnson’s “Upside Down” is the first MyMusicRx video to receive over a million views and Panic! At the Disco is a close second with over 910K views.

Bedstock was featured in several influential news and entertainment outlets including Billboard, Stereogum, Pitchfork, Consequence of Sound, ABC Music News, Portland Monthly, Fox12 and radio stations across the country. CCA’s creative partners from Anomaly even visited The Today Show to represent MyMusicRx and Bedstock.
