Bid on a Custom Guitar from Shakey Graves

Bid on Shakey Graves Guitar

We are honored to share this beautiful custom-beaded Epiphone Masterbilt Century Olympic guitar (featuring 28,000 beads) commissioned by Austin, Texas based musician Shakey Graves. Designed by Carter Watkins, the guitar art celebrates Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, and is the focal point of the signature poster created for his concert with Dr. Dog and Caroline Rose at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on August 15, 2019.

Shakey Graves has generously offered the guitar to the highest bidder and all proceeds will be donated to Children’s Cancer Association’s MyMusicRx program. MyMusicRx empowers pediatric patients across the country to improve their emotional and mental states through interaction with music.

Shakey Graves and MyMusicRx

Shakey Graves has been a passionate proponent of MyMusicRx, CCA’s flagship music medicine program since his first performance at the Portland, Oregon headquarters in 2015. Since then, he’s performed at SXSW for the You Who Rock Show for Kids, benefitting MyMusicRx and more recently sang from bed with the beaded Epiphone guitar for children and teens to stream online from their hospital rooms.

This guitar is another testament to Shakey Graves’ belief in the power of music to heal and passion for sharing his love for music with children and teens in hospitals across the country. Bid now through September 30 for your chance to take home this priceless piece of music history.
