Keep an ear out for Matt Pozsgai. This talented musician is about to record his first album, Where it All Started, with his group Fearless in the Fight. It’s a fitting description for Matt’s approach to cystic fibrosis, something he’s lived with since he was just four months old. 

At CCA, we know that for seriously ill children and their families, every moment is precious and we’ve made it our mission to transform those moments with joy. That’s why when Blake was diagnosed with clear cell carcinoma at just 2-years-old, CCA was there to deliver the healing power of friendship and music right to his bedside.

There’s a poster that hangs on the door of Emma Aanderud’s hospital room that reads, “Cancer Sucks, But Life Doesn’t.” That’s a sentiment that this energetic, friendly teen has fully embraced throughout her treatment for acute myeloid leukemia (AML).

If I can see it, I can do it. If I just believe, there’s nothing to it. 

That’s a line from one of Joevanni’s favorite songs, “I Believe I Can Fly.” He sings it whenever he needs a lift during his treatments for aplastic anemia, which he’s been bravely fighting for almost three years.

Nick Loring is a sweet, fun-loving kid who loves cheering on the Blazers, dancing, practicing martial arts and being a big brother to his siblings Makenzie, Haiden, and Liam.

Just try keeping up with Sierra Archer. This smart, sassy eight-year-old always seems to be on the go, whether it’s swimming, playing in the park, dancing in Zumba class, or riding her beloved horse, Pippin.

Keaton Traffie has earned the nickname “Courageous Keaton” by maintaining his spunky, playful attitude no matter how tough things get.

Brave. Strong. A fighter. These are words that are commonly used to describe Nathalie Traller, who has been battling a rare form of cancer called alveolar soft part sarcoma (ASPS) with extraordinary grace and determination.
